Eugenia Llanez

Photography, painting, structure and perception through colour, architecture and suspended fragments.

Eugenia Llanez is a visual artist working across photography and painting, from Argentina and based in Buenos Aires. Informed by her background in engineering, her practice investigates perception, time, space, and the way reality is constructed through fragments.

Her photographic work moves between urban space, architecture, light, shadow, and colour. Rather than serving as documentary records, her images create suspended visual fields where the ordinary becomes unstable and perception slows down. Her painting practice extends this inquiry into gesture, portraiture, and the human figure, exploring the tension between presence, movement, and what remain

Her photographs have been presented across Buenos Aires, Paris, and the United Kingdom through group exhibitions, festivals, and curated presentations. Practice and projects

Llanez’s practice moves between structure and gesture. Through geometry, colour, and layered compositions, her work observes the moment when reality stops being read as a totality.

In Intervalos, the city is approached through light, shadow, reflection, and architecture. In Atemporal, developed during a six-month journey through twelve countries, architectures, walls, and empty landscapes become active presences rather than simple locations. Across both mediums, her work explores the visible as a threshold: a place where form and fragment reveal what often remains unseen.
